CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

The information contained in BCMW Community Services client files will be confidential and will not be released without the client's written consent except in cases when state and/or federal laws require that information is given without their consent. For example, we are required by law to report evidence of suspected child abuse or neglect, or if you threaten serious bodily harm to yourself or someone else.

Clients have the right to review the information in their file.

Client records will be maintained for seven years. After that, they will be destroyed.

BCMW Community Services follows the HIPPA Guidelines for protecting each client's privacy.
