The Home Modification Program will make forgivable loans to very-low and extremely-low income elderly and/or disabled persons to make the home more accessible and safe for them.  Income eligibility is based on a projected twelve-month annual income from all household sources and must be less than or equal to 50% of the area median income.  Income limits vary from county to county.  Contact 618-533-6630 to determine your household income limit. The property taxes must be current and insurance maintained on the property. Rental properties can be included in this program.  Referrals for the program can be obtained from Opportunities For Access or Senior Community Services.
