News and Announcements!

If you are at risk of foreclosure or are having trouble paying your mortgage, visit the Governor’s Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network website at www.keepyourhomeillinois.org.  The Network is a FREE, one-stop resource that links homeowners to state agencies and non-profit organizations that offer services designed to keep people in their homes. This includes the homeownership counseling or free legal advice offered by this agency as well as other help including temporary mortgage assistance.

    We still have f
unds for utility assistance.  You may contact us for regular assistance or emergency assistance if your power has been disconnected or if your propane gets below 25%.

Eligibility is determined by providing 30 days proof of income and having a utility bill in the head of households’ name.  If utilities are included in rent, you may still be eligible for assistance.  Your appointment must be made with a LIHEAP representative. Leaving a message will not get you an appointment.

The 30 day income guidelines are as follows:

      1-$1,396.00                 2-$1,891.00                 3-$2,386.00                 4-$2,881.00

      5-$3,376.00                 6-$3.871.00                 7-$4,366.00                 8-$4,861.00

Contact the appropriate office for the county you reside in on the dates mentioned above to make your appointment.
